Security is a
common place requirement in our society and unfortunately the need for formal
identification is becoming more of a requirement than ever before. With
schools, colleges and other organisations requiring staff and, in the case
of educational environments, pupils to carry photo ID badges, especially
in the larger establishments. Transport deliveries and collections from airlines demand ID's

IDENTIFICATION, BUSINESS CARD AND LABEL PRODUCTION
Until now it
has been difficult to find a cost effective 'on-site' solution, outside
services have been available, but usually have long lead times and are costly. Dedicated card printers are costly.
Badge designing
is not a difficult task, logos and photographs can be created or imported
with the now lower priced cameras and scanners, webcams cam produce acceptable results in good lighting.
Print quality is now on
par with photographs themselves, thus making identification products easy
and cost effective. Not only that, but, it is now possible to produce ID
badges in minutes, rather than wait days or weeks for an outside agency.
This tightens up the security loophole that allows people to enter your
school, college or organisation without the required identification.

Badge Designer
is designed specifically to ease the layout and printing of badges for all
areas or production, with a built in database and visual arranging of the
parts on a scaled 'on-screen' badge. You can then place your cards in plastic
wallets add a clip or chain and your security is watertight. A better method is to make use of laminated plastic pouches that can now be purchased for Credit Card size or slightly larger for larger ID cards.
SECURITY IS
BUILT IN TOO
The application
is password protected to reduce the risk of unauthorised personnel generating
their own badges. Photographs can reside on a network server which can only
be accessed through a network login security. This is because only locations
of the images are stored in the database, images are retrieved from their
location at print time. This also means that you can't access the software
by just copying the table to another terminal and not having to transfer
all the images.

SOLUTION, I KNOW, I USE IT!
A great deal
of thought was put into producing this software, mainly because the need
arose in my work place for such a piece of software. So I wrote it. It is therefore user orientated, not some software designed by a programmer that hasn't a clue about the users needs.
You can also
produce Business cards, Labels, name tags, stickers even CD inlays etc.
